I am a Midwife, Hypnobirthing teacher and mother of one. I qualified as a Midwife in 2017 and since qualifying I have worked at a busy South London Hospital.
I later went on to qualify as a Hypnobirthing teacher with Katherine Graves in 2018 and over the last two years have used that time to focus on adapting my teaching to what I believe is necessary for birthing people to have a positive birth experience. More recently I undertook TheYesmum Hypnobirthing teacher training and will be using their syllabus.
I have always had a passion for empowering women during pregnancy and childbirth and I have been extremely passionate about birth education as I believe good antenatal education can really make a difference to the pregnancy and birth experience.
When I was pregnant with my own daughter, I made the decision to train as a Hypnobirthing teacher having witnessed many birthing people use it and seeing first-hand how effective it could be. I trained first and foremost in order to use the tools myself but also because I knew wholeheartedly that they could benefit so many other birthing people.
I could only describe my daughters’ birth as traumatic but I believe that the tools I gained in my Hypnobirthing helped me to have a wonderful pregnancy and early labour. I felt knowledgeable, in control and empowered.
My own birth experience led me to examine the effects of birth trauma and appreciate the need for greater understanding of what took place and why. This is why I offer the birth debriefing service. You can find out more about this service below.
I am extremely passionate about positive birth experiences and facilitating healing from experiences that may not have been as positive as hoped for.
I’m looking forward to helping you achieve these things.
