I have spent almost ten years working with new and expectant parents, supporting them through pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. It wasn’t until I had my own children that I realised just what things were like on the other side! I had huge feeding challenges – tongue ties, oversupply, blocked ducts, nursing strikes – and gained so much valuable experience and a unique appreciation for what all you mamas are going through! Just as I thought I’d gotten through the hardest part, and feeding was well established, then came the sleepless nights trying everything to get my children into a good routine with sleep.
My extensive experience working with clients, and as a mum has taught me that nobody is immune to challenges as a new parent – whether it be with feeding, weaning or sleep. What makes the difference is having the right support. Identifying problems as soon as they arise and having expert, compassionate, holistic advice and support throughout your journey.
I have worked in Specialist Maternity hospitals in Australia, as well as in private practice in the UK. I’ve been involved in research published in leading midwifery journals, written my own e-book and been involved in breastfeeding education in high schools.
I work 1:1 with families having challenges with breastfeeding and sleep either virtually or in the comfort of their own home.
