The Little Rainbow – Minimalistic and Chic Personalised Accessories for Mini and Me.

We are Kirsty and Lauren and together we are the faces behind The Little Rainbow. We are both mummies and full time working nannies and between us we have 23 years of childcare experience and working in private homes.

Kirsty lives in Yorkshire and Lauren is from London and we connected through a Nanny Instagram group. Over the Coronavirus pandemic we put our heads together and thought up the concept of The Little Rainbow.

Kirsty has a passion for designing, personalising and creating items and does this regularly for family and friends. She wanted to find something that she enjoys where she could spend more time with her daughter. She is the main designer of all of The Little Rainbow’s personalised items but Lauren is currently learning the tools of the trade and plays a big part in the designing of all our products.

Lauren is the owner of two other companies – Lauren The Nanny and Little People Meals and also wanted to find something rewarding and enjoyable that would fit in alongside running those businesses and looking after her two children. Lauren currently looks after the admin side of The Little Rainbow as well as assisting Kirsty in the production of The Little Rainbow items!

We both, over the years, as parents and as nannies have our favourite items that we use or have used in the past.

That’s where The Little Rainbow was born!

We wanted to provide parents and carers with minimalistic, chic and beautifully personalised items for their little ones and their play spaces. All of our items come in neutral tones with either wording and pictures on them or a simple splash of colour.

Why The Little Rainbow?

We chose the name The Little Rainbow because Kirsty welcomed her special rainbow baby in 2019. It’s something close to both our hearts so it just seemed the perfect choice. We have felt that 2020 was a strange and uncertain year and we want everyone to find their special pot of gold at the end of their very own rainbow.
